BRIM

Feed projections can be individually or filtered in groups. The projection will incorporate existing feed and field transactions and project the future feed requirements for the entity and houses. There are options to project feed at the entity, house or pen level. If the source data is not at the projected delivery granularity, there is a prorata option that will restate all historical deliveries to the house or pen level. The prorata must be completed before FDSA projections are calculated.

The BRIM Projection Screen is view only.  Entities will be populated based upon the Farm Type (BIM, BRIM, GIM, LIM and TIM).

The following are the items that must be set up prior to a BRIM Projection:

• Farms
• Houses
• Feed Formula Assignments
• Animal Products
• Consumption Tables
• Feeding Program

 BRIM Projection Menu Options are used in order to create the projections.

• Projection Date

  Projection Date is the beginning date used when creating projections. This date will be used by all entities in the FDSA Single Projection screen.

   

• Projection Mode

  There are two options for Projection Mode - Next Delivery and All Deliveries.  The option chosen will apply to all entities in the FDSA Single Projection screen.

   

   

   

  • Next Delivery will project only the next delivery.
  • All Deliveries will project for the life of the entity.
• Auto Calculation

  When Auto Calculation is set to ON, projections will be calculated based on the Projection Date and the Projection Mode.

Create an FDSA Single Projection

1. In FMTS>FDSA>Projections, select BRIM.

2. Select the entity required, right-click and select `Edit`. In the transaction screen, click the Calculate option in the menu. Alternatively, right-click the entity in the menu and select `Calculate`

3. The entity will calculate. Note the change to the Feed Trans Code and Event Type in the transaction screen.

Schedule a Feed Order

1. In the BRIM Single Projection menu, select the Options button and click `Select Projections`.
2. A new screen will appear for LOE.
3. Highlight the projection or projections, right-click and select `Create Orders/Load with amounts`.
4. A new order/orders will be created.

5. Go to the Feed Order Planning to create the delivery.
