BIM Farm OPS Allocation Log
The BIM Farm OPS Allocation is generated from the BIM Farm to Entity
task by right-clicking on the task and selecting Farm OPS Allocation Log.
The purpose of the log is to provide the details of the costs that were
coded to BRDR-OPS and then allocated to the farms and stages in the period.
The costs are allocated based on bird days for each stage. The details
will be displayed for the current fiscal period. Any of the following
fields can be added or removed from the displayed view as required.
- Begin Date
- first date of the fiscal period that the log is generated.
- End Date
- last date of the fiscal period that the log is generated.
- Month
- represents fiscal month as defined in the Fiscal Calendar.
- Fiscal Year
- displays the fiscal year based on the defined Fiscal Calendar.
- Company No/ Company
Name - displays the company for the farm.
- Division No/Division
Name - displays the division that the farm is assigned to.
- Cost Center No/Cost
Center Name - represents the cost center assigned to the farm.
- Farm No/Farm
Name - indicates the farm for the overhead allocation.
- Product No/Product
Name - indicates the product for the allocation, if applicable.
- Complex Account
No - represents the account that received the allocation. BRDR-OPS
will be allocated to BRDR-BROOD, BRDR-GROW or BRDR-LAY.
- Allocation Type
- determines how the costs are allocated to the field product allocations
and farm to entity costs at period end. This option is assigned to
the account in Admin>Business>General>Chart
of Accounts>Chart of Account Master.
- Non-Allocated
– the costs are allocated to the entity based on the transaction
date. For example, chick cost would be a non-allocated cost
as it is not allocated to all entities on the farm in the period.
- Allocated
Daily - amounts are summed for the month and then prorated
to each day of the month based on either Entity Days or Animal
Days depending on a registry switch
Allocation
Mode - determines whether the expense is carried over
to the next entity placed or allocated to all entities in the period.
This option is assigned to the account in Admin>Business>General>Chart
of Accounts>Chart of Account Master.
- Current
Entities - the logic allocates the total dollars for the
month to the entities on the farm on the basis of total bird days
for the period.
- Accrued
- the logic first allocates the dollars equally to each day of
the month and then allocates the dollars for each day to the entities
in inventory on that day on the basis of animal days. Any
days that have zero animal days inventory are accrued and carried
forward to the next flock. If the next flock is placed in
a later period, the dollars are held at the OPS account level.
- Date -
represents the date that the cost was allocated. This date is the
last date of the period as all costs are included.
- Brood Days -
the number of bird days in the period that were incurred to the entity
in the brood stage. Costs will be allocated to BRDR-BROOD.
- Grow Days -
the number of bird days in the period that were incurred to the entity
in the grow stage. This is only applicable in multi-stage BIM operations.
Costs will be allocated to BRDR-GROW.
- Lay Days -
the number of bird days in the period that were incurred to the entity
in the lay stage. Costs will be allocated to BRDR-LAY
- Farm Total Days
- the total number of bird days on the farm for all stages
in the period.
- Brood Ratio -
calculated value to be used as the basis for allocating brood costs.
Value is calculated as Brood Days/Farm Total Days.
- Grow Ratio -
calculated value to be used as the basis for allocating
grow costs. Value is calculated as Grow Days/Farm Total Days.
- Lay Ratio - calculated
value to be used as the basis for allocating lay costs. Value is calculated
as Lay Days/Farm Total Days.
- Amount
- represents the amount that has been expensed to the stage. This
value is calculated by taking the total amount in BRDR-OPS-[OBJECT]-[ELEMENT]
and allocating the amount to the stage using the applicable ratio.
- Units
- represents the number of units allocated to the stage.
