Standards Definitions

 

Standards Definitions are used to create the  fields in the standards tables. There are a list of system definitions that exist based on common user requirements, however additional definitions can be created as required.

 

Table Name: ProteinStandardsDefinitions

Create a Standard Definition

  1. In Admin>Business>Poultry>BRIM -TIM,  select Standard Definitions.

  2. Select to create a new record.

 

  1. Enter a Column Name to be assigned to the database table.  A prefix of U_ must preceded the column name.

  2. Enter Edit Label a name or label that will appear in the editor screen  when editing this field.

  3. Select the option to  Allow Nulls for the category. If the Disallow option is checked the category will always need to have a number greater than zero.

  4. Enter a Range to set perimeters for the data entry. Example 0 -100, any number greater than 100 or less than 0 is not allowed.

  5. Select a  Standard Type to determine how the calculation is to be used.  Options are Cost and Statistics.

  6. Enter a Default Value to populate the field when the standards are created.  Note:  the default value must be within the Range limit. In this example the Range is 0 - 100 so the default  value must be between 0 - 100.  

  7. Select a Units of Measure to be used as the base in calculations that pertain to this field. Options are: Feed Lbs, Head Placed, Head Sold and Weight Sold.

  8. Enter a Format US to display the data format used  for data entry and reporting purposes.

  9. Enter a Format Metric  to display the data format used  for data entry and reporting purposes.

  10. Ref Report Formula ID is not used in this version.

  11. Weight Field is not used in this version.  

  12. Save and Close the record.
