Unit of Measurement define the types of units that are sold, purchases or transferred throughout the system. Units of Measurement are assigned to Vendor skus and Sales skus so that products can be purchased or sold in different units than inventory units.

In Admin>Business>General>Definitions, select Unit of Measurement.
Select 
to
create a new record.
Enter a Unit Description No to identify the unit of measure (alphanumeric, 20 characters).
Enter a Unit Description Name to describe the unit of measure (alphanumeric, 50 characters).
Enter an Inventory Units to identify the number of units per description.
Save and Close the record.
