Troubleshooting - BRPA/TPA

The following are a series of issues that may occur within the BRPA options for one reason or another. Click on the item to view the possible solutions to the issue.

Planning

• Planned Movements are not being placed in all houses
  • Targets will drive how many birds are placed. If the target is low, then not all houses will be filled.
  • Verify houses are not set to inactive
• BRPA Movements is not projecting correct product
  • Check Allow Mix Flock Placements in the Registry. If this option is set to TRUE and the same product is not available, then the movement projection will move to the next house and place a different product.
• Formula Assignment does not default to the planned movement
  • Verify that a formula assignment has been defined for the product and primary feed mill assigned to the farm.

Projections

• Farm is not getting picked up by the schedule
  • Verify that the plants assigned to the farm are defined in the profile
  • Check that the farm is active
  • Check the Begin Inactive Dates and End Inactive Dates are not defined for the farm or house
• Weight is not being projected
  • Verify that the performance curve has been defined for the product and age for the entity
  • Age Assignment has age defined over entity age
• Ages of entities appears to be incorrect
  • Age is calculated first based on the catch date. If the catch date is not defined, then the system uses date sold.
• Import processing transaction does not import data
  • This option only imports processing transactions where the processing transaction detail is recorded to the house. If the details are not by house, then the processing transaction is not imported.
• Multiple small loads in a single day
  • Generally occurs when the thinning process occurs and the truck capacity is low

• Unable to modify sold date in Short Range Projection

  • Transaction is posted or in void status

• Projections is splitting same entities on the same processing date

  • Ensure that there are not duplicate targets for the same product group.

• Short Range is not deducting field transaction mortality

  • Short Range will only include field transaction mortality that is recorded to the house or pen. If the mortality is recorded at the entity level, the short range projection will not include those transactions.

• Projection is not using Parent Age Factors

  • Verify that placement record has parent details defined.

• Short Range Projection is not using weights entered in field transactions

  • Field Trans Weight Adjustment in the profile is set to Exclude.
  • Check the Field Weight Percent Accuracy defined in Farms>BRPA

• Projected Average Weight is different than Standard Weight with no performance factors defined

  • Time Precision Registry switch is set to true, therefore weights will be calculated based on the fraction of a day
