inventory
The product inventory view displays the available inventory at all locations.
The view can be filtered or grouped as required to view specific data.
Once the filters and groups are applied, the settings will be saved in
the user profile until the filters or groups are modified.
View Inventory
- In TMTS>BIM>Transactions>Products>Inventory,
select Inventory.
- In the Date dialog box, enter the
Date of the inventory transactions
to be viewed and then click 'OK'. For example, if you enter 3/10/2013,
all inventory for that date will be displayed.
- The Product Inventory screen will display all
current inventory transactions as of the date entered in the dialog
box. *Note: Expired inventory
will appear in red so that it is easily identified.
- Transaction ID
identifies the entity where the inventory product is
located.
- Transaction Entity
Name displays the name of the entity where the inventory product
is located.
- Product No
identifies the product that is in inventory. Only products
that have an inventory quantity will be displayed.
- Product Name
displays the name of the inventory product.
- Lot No
is a unique identification number for the product. The Lot No is an
optional field that can be entered on the receiving or transfer transaction.
Once there is a lot number assigned, the inventory and associated
costs will be maintained separate from those ingredients that do not
have a lot number assigned.
- Location No
identifies the location where the product is stored.
- Product Type
identifies the type of product. Available options include: Field Products,
Vaccination and Medication.
- Expiration Date
indicates the date the product expires, and is
generally used for vaccinations and medications.
- Consignment
is selected if the ingredient was received from the vendor on consignment.
There is no value associated with consignment inventory as the value
is not determined until the product is used. Further details related

- Consignment Complex
PO No displays the purchase order from which the product was
purchased and received.
- Inventory Date
displays the date of the last transaction recorded against that inventory
line.
- A Requisition
is required for the product to be purchased. If the flag is not selected,
a purchase order can be created without the requisition. The flag
is defined in Field Products.
- Quantity
represents the total quantity remaining.
- Price
represents the total value of the inventory based on the date reviewed.
The inventory is valued based on Average Cost or FIFO methodology
depending on the registry switch established for the feed mill.
- Unit Price
is a calculated field that displays the price per unit. Unit Price
= Price/Quantity.
