Feed Consumption

When using Farm Feed Inventory, feed Consumption is recorded using field transactions.

There are four stages in the field transactions.

Brood: Brood transactions can be done while chicks are in the brood farm. Brood transactions typically consist of information relating to culls, body weights, mortality, and feed. When animals are grown in a brood house, they are physically moved from house to another.
Grow: Grow transactions are generally used for turkeys and layer as well as broiler companies. Broiler companies move these birds from stage to stage or house and to house until they reach a certain age, and then they are sold to the processing plant.
Lay: Lay transactions are typically used by primary breeders, as well as some broiler companies that produce their own stock. The information is the same as the information collected in the Brood and Grow stages, with the addition of details relating to eggs.
Mixed: Mixed transactions are used when birds remain on the same farm their entire lives. The information is the same as the information collected in the Lay stage.

Create a Field Transaction for Feed Consumption

In TMTS>BIM>Transactions>Field, select the required field transaction for the entity stage..
Click to create a new field transaction.
From Trans Date Time, select the date and time that the transaction is recorded. This date will be used for all inventory and accounting transactions.

Event Date indicates the date the transaction was created. The current date will automatically default in, but can be modified if required. This date does not affect inventory or accounting.
From the Complex Entity No drop-down menu, select the entity to where the transactional data is being entered. The list will populate entities that exist within the transaction stage. For example, a brood stage transaction will only select brood entities.
Ref No is an automatically generated unique number that identifies the transaction and will be created at save.
Product No identifies the animal product and will default in from the selected Complex Entity No.
If the Feed Inventory Mode is set to Feed Type or Formula, select the required Female Feed Type No. If the Feed Inventory Mode is set to Single Inventory, Female Feed Type No will not be displayed.
If the Feed Inventory Mode is set to Feed Type or Formula, select the required Male Feed Type No. If the Feed Inventory Mode is set to Single Inventory, Male Feed Type No will not be displayed.
If the Feed Inventory Mode is set to Formula, select the required Female Formula No. If the Feed Inventory Mode is set to Feed Type or Single Inventory, Female Formula No will not be displayed.
If the Feed Inventory Mode is set to Formula, select the required Male Male No. If the Feed Inventory Mode is set to Feed Type or Single Inventory, Male Formula No will not be displayed.
Enter the feed consumed by females in Female Feed Consumed.
Enter the feed consumed by males in Male Feed Consumed.
Save and close the transaction.
Post the transactions by selecting the required transactions and right-clicking to select Post or select from the toolbar.
