Ingredient Inventory

 

The ingredients inventory view displays the available inventory at all locations. The view can be filtered or grouped as required to view specific data. Once the filters and groups are applied, the settings will be saved in the user profile until the filters or groups are modified.

View Inventory

  1. In FMTS>FMIM>Inventories, select Ingredients.

  2. In the Date dialog box, enter the Date of the inventory transactions to be viewed and then click 'OK'. For example, if you enter 3/10/2013, all inventory for that date will be displayed.

  3. The Product Inventory screen will display all current inventory transactions as of the date entered in the dialog box. *Note: Expired inventory will appear in red so that it is easily identified.

  5. Feed Mill No identifies the feed mill where the ingredient inventory is located.

  6. Feed Mill Name displays the description of the feed mill.

  7. Ingredient  No displays the pre-defined code for the Ingredient  that is in inventory. Only ingredients that have an inventory quantity will be displayed.

  8. Ingredient Name  displays a description of the ingredient

  9. Silo No will be displayed if silo tracking is used in the ingredient receiving or facility transfer  transaction, and indicates the silo where the ingredient is stored. Costs will be calculated separately for ingredients that are tracked by silo.

  10. Silo Name displays a description of the silo.

  11. Lot No is a unique identification number for the product. The Lot No is an optional field that can be entered on the receiving or transfer transaction. Once there is a lot number assigned, the inventory and associated costs will be maintained separate from those ingredients that do not have a lot number assigned.

  12. Consignment is selected if the ingredient was received from the vendor on consignment. There is no value associated with consignment inventory as the value is not determined until the product is used.   13. Consignment Complex PO displays the purchase order from which the product was purchased and received.

  14. Inventory Date displays the date of the last transaction recorded against that inventory line.

  15. Quantity represents the total quantity remaining.

  16. Unit Price is a calculated field that displays the price per unit. Unit Price = Price/Quantity.

  17. Price represents the total value of the inventory based on the date reviewed. The inventory is valued based on Average Cost or FIFO methodology depending on the registry switch established for the feed mill.
