Lab Test Codes

 

Lab Test Codes are used in transactions capturing lab analysis and results from blood, feed,  or ingredient  samples. The process is used to identify levels of disease or contamination  within the entities.  Lab Test Code categories are created in Admin > Business > General > Definitions> Lab Test.

Create a Lab Test Code

 

  1. In Admin>Business>General>Definitions>Lab Test, select  Lab Test Codes.

  2. Select to create a new record.

  1. Enter an Analysis No  to identify the test code or analysis. (alphanumeric, maximum 20 characters).

  2. Enter an Analysis Name to describe the test code. (alphanumeric, maximum 50 characters).

  3. Enter an Edit Position  to assign where the column will be positioned in the screen.

  4. Select the Species Type  where the test is to be assigned. Options are All, Chicken, Turkey, Duck, Layer  and Swine.

  5. Select the Analysis Type to identify the product being tested.  Options are Animal, Formulas and Ingredients.

  6. Processing Control Status represents the processing status of the swine. This will default to `Not Tracked`. Available options are:

    1. Tracked - will have no impact on process planning, but will be displayed in Health Status views.
    2. End of Day - BRPA/TPA/SPA/GPA will schedule the entities to be killed at the end of the day. LHS will schedule picks ups at the end of the scheduled processing day.  
    3. End of Week - BRPA/TPA/SPA/GPA will schedule the entities to be killed at the end of the week. LHS will schedule picks ups at the end of the scheduled processing day.
    4. Not Tracked - the processing status is not tracked.
  7. Transfer Control Status represents the transfer status of the swine. This will default to `Not Tracked`.  Available options are:
    1. Tracked - will have no impact on the transfer, but will be displayed in Health Status views.
    2. Transfer to Same Status - source entities can be transferred to a destination entity with the same status for the lab test code.
    3. No Transfer - entities cannot be transferred.
    4. No Tracked - the control status is not tracked.
  8. Placement Control Status represents the placement status of the swine.
  9. In the Health Status Number of Tests field, enter the number of tests done for health status.  The health status of a farm or entity will only be updated to Positive, based on the Health Status Mode, if there are the specified Health Status Number of Tests posted in a row, for the same Entity with the Status of Positive.

  10. Days Out defines the number of days out if the entity tracked is positive for the disease.

  11. Check the Active box if Analysis is being used. De-select when analysis is no longer required.

  12. Select the Debit Account No from the available options listed in the drop-down menu.

  13. Select the Credit Account No from the available options listed in the drop-down menu.

  14. Save and Close the record.
