Growout Codes


Growouts are used for grouping  farms that are supervised or serviced by the same personnel. Growouts can also be used to group farms based on geographical location. It is at the discretion of the Company to determine how growout areas are configured depending on their requirements. A farm can only be assigned to a single growout. Growouts are used in the Registry to establish the basis for many parameters related to production. Growouts are also used in General>General>Products>Animals>BOM Packages to define production requirements for planning purposes and purchase requisitions.

Create Growout Code

  1. In Admin>Business>General>Definitions, select Growout Codes.

  2. Selectto create a new Growout Area Code.

  1. In the Growout No field, enter a unique identifier for the growout (alphanumeric, max 20 characters).  
  2. In the Growout Name field, enter a unique description for the growout (alphanumeric, max 50 characters).
  3. From Division No, use the drop-down menu to select the division to which the growout is assigned. Divisions are species specific.
  4. Division Name defaults from Division No and displays a description of the selected division.
